Setting Up a Shared Inbox for MailerLite Integration

Objective

This SOP outlines the steps for the Account Lead to create a shared inbox with their client's domain (e.g., investors@YOURDOMAIN.com) and provide access to our team so we can set up a MailerLite account and authenticate the domain.

It’s important for our clients to open a shared email account so that we, as their sticky third-party IR firm, can effectively manage day-to-day communications and digital campaigns on their behalf. This shared access ensures seamless collaboration, enabling us to monitor and respond to inquiries promptly, track campaign performance, and provide timely updates. It also allows us to manage key outreach efforts while ensuring you always have access to the relevant data and metrics for informed decision-making.

Step-by-Step Process:

  1. Create the Shared Inbox:
    • Set up a shared inbox using your client's domain. The email address should follow this format: investors@YOURDOMAIN.com.
    • Ensure this inbox is accessible to our team for MailerLite account setup.
    • Forward this request to client's IT team. 
  2. Provide Access to the Shared Inbox:
    • Share the login credentials or grant our team access to this shared inbox. This is crucial for us to verify and confirm the email address once the MailerLite account is created.
  3. MailerLite Account Setup:
    • Our team will use the provided shared inbox to create a MailerLite account for your organization.
    • After the account is created, we will need to confirm the email address to ensure everything is set up correctly.
  4. Domain Authentication:
    • Once the email is confirmed, the domain needs to be authenticated. We will send a link to you that directs to your IT team.
    • The IT team will need to update the DNS settings to authenticate the domain.
  5. Confirmation and Final Steps:
    • Once the client's IT team updates the DNS settings, let us know, and we’ll finalize the integration with MailerLite.

  • Having access to the shared inbox is essential for email confirmation and successful setup.
  • Domain authentication is necessary for email deliverability and to ensure your emails are sent from a verified domain.
